Joseph Ruffin

Joseph Ruffin is the CEO of Network Design Technologies Inc. Mr. Ruffin has worked with business leaders up and down the east coast, in both public and private sectors. In this capacity he oversees NDT business direction while simultaneously upholding NDT’s corporate vision.
Prior to founding Network Design Technologies, Mr. Ruffin was pursuing a career as a network administrator for various private companies for a period of 20 years. Mr. Ruffin’s personal passion for technology has paralleled his technical positions during the employment period of his life. For nearly 30 years, he enjoyed working on, disassembling, and modifying computers as a hobby. He also volunteered as a judge for the regional First Robotics Competition in Philadelphia for 5 years.
Mr. Ruffin has served as a board member for the International Christian High school in Philadelphia. During this time He organized a robotics team that attended the First Robotics competition. As a board member with technical background, Mr. Ruffin established a new school email service and developed school cloud computing for the faculty and students to share documents. Mr. Ruffin also advises any new business owner about how information and communications technology can help solve complex problems and reduce daily back office duties such as building repetitive reports etc. Mr. Ruffin acts as a mentor for many aspiring business students and new business entrepreneurs, who are looking forward to a life in the business world, and as new business owners. Mr. Ruffin has volunteered multiple times as a judge for National Science Foundation's Greater Philadelphia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) student awards event. The mission of the LSAMP is to increase significantly the number of underrepresented minorities in science, engineering and mathematics disciplines.
He has a Associates Degree in Business Administration, and a Associates Degree in Data Processing both from Philadelphia Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Temple University. Mr. Ruffin is married with two children.
